The ten flags
- AngolaRed over black with a yellow half cogwheel, machete and star in the centre.
- LesothoBlue, white and green horizontal bands with a black pointed straw hat on the white.
- MalawiBlack, red and green horizontal bands with a red rising sun on the black.
- MozambiqueGreen, black and yellow bands edged in white, with a red triangle at the hoist holding a star, a book, a hoe and a rifle.
- NamibiaA red diagonal band edged in white, with blue and a gold sun above and green below.
- EswatiniBlue, yellow and a wide red band, with a black and white shield over two spears on the red.
- ZimbabweGreen, yellow, red and black stripes with a white triangle at the hoist holding a red star and a gold bird.
- MadagascarA white vertical band at the hoist, then red over green.
- MauritiusFour equal horizontal stripes: red, blue, yellow, then green.
- SeychellesFive bands of blue, yellow, red, white and green fanning out from the bottom hoist corner.
Telling the look-alikes apart
- Mozambique and ZimbabweMozambique: a red triangle with a book, hoe and rifle. Zimbabwe: a white triangle with a red star and bird.
- Eswatini and LesothoEswatini: a wide red band with a shield and spears. Lesotho: white and green with a black hat.
- Seychelles and MauritiusSeychelles: the bands fan out diagonally. Mauritius: four flat stripes.
